Check-in: Once your reservation is booked, we'll send you check-in details, with everything you need to know to arrive with no issues and get easily situated.

Friendly home base: Think of us as your local hosts - you won’t be left to figure it out alone. If you have questions about anything, from the WiFi to fire-pit routines to best sunset spots, we’re here to help - just reach out!

Spaces for every group size: Whether you’re a group of 2 or 100+, we’ve got flexible indoor and outdoor areas, comfortable gathering zones, private corners for quiet, and plenty of infrastructure to support your event or stay (parking, WiFi, restrooms, kitchen/dining, lodge buildings, trails, etc.). If you haven't reserved the entire property then we'll also supply you with information on which buildings and sections of the estate your reservation allows you to access. We try to be flexible - our goal is for you to enjoy it!

Make it your own: Use any of the available areas for your style of trip — romantic, restful, action-packed, or celebratory. We’ll share recommended set-ups, preferred vendors (if needed), and local activity options to match your group’s vibe.

Pack accordingly: Even in summer, evenings may be cool. Bring layers, especially if you plan to use our outdoor spaces or trails.

Events & setup: If you’re here for a bigger celebration (wedding, reunion, corporate retreat, etc.), let us know your preferred schedule ahead of time so we can schedule staffing, set-up, and any vendor coordination to make it as seamless as possible for you.

Relaxed but respectful: Our setting is peaceful and scenic - many guests come to tune out the city noise. For larger groups especially, we’ll share recommended quiet-hours or outdoor-lighting guidelines so everyone retains the retreat feel.

Accessibility & group movement: With bigger groups, please plan logistics (parking, mobility, building layouts) ahead of time. Our staff can help you map routes for guests, equipment, or catering drop-offs. We're also more than happy to do an in-person or virtual walkthrough with you before your scheduled dates.

Weather & terrain: Our landscape is natural and beautiful, but trails may be uneven, steps may be present, and weather may shift quickly. Closed-toe walking shoes are strongly recommended for anyone exploring outdoors.

Tech & connectivity: We provide high-speed reliable WiFi and support for your needs. If you have specific tech needs (projector, extra screens, sound system), let us know in advance so we can best accommodate you.

Food & beverage coordination: Whether you bring your own catering or want vendor recommendations, we can assist with logistics, prep space access, and clean-up protocols (we’ll share preferred vendor lists if helpful). We do need to know who your vendors are before your stay begins.

Family-friendly features: We love having kids here! For family reunions, camps, and so on, we have plenty of room for kids to explore. Hang out with our farm animals, spend time at our new playground, run around on our trails, sit by the pond, and more. Please have adult supervision for everyone's safety.

Photography & Nature Exploration: The property’s open landscapes, old-growth trees, pond, and other natural features make it a great location for photographers and nature lovers.

‍Lawn Games & Open-Air Fun: Bring some of your favorite games and challenge friends or family to some friendly competition on our open field!

Stargazing: With minimal light pollution, the night sky at Scimitar Ridge Ranch is dazzling. Lie back on the grass or relax on the deck and spot constellations, planets, and shooting stars.

Our region is full of incredible places and things for your group to explore - we're a short drive (or ferry ride!) from so many things that we're jealous you're the one on vacation and not us!

Visit the otherwordly San Juan Islands: Hop on the ferry, take a boat tour, or reserve a seaplane and breathe in that ocean air while you go whale-watching, explore the quaint towns with their shops and restaurants, take a fun hike, or simply relax with a book on an island's shore.

Explore Anacortes: Wander the historic downtown of this waterfront town (some locals here might call it a city!). With its galleries, art shops, local boutiques, coffee shops, and waterfront parks, you'll come back exhausted after a fulfilling day of exploring.

Deception Pass State Park: This is a definite must-see, and also very close to us! Its famous dramatic bridge, towering cliffs, both salt-water and fresh-water shorelines, and forested hiking trails make it a destination all on its own.

Fidalgo Island & Whistle Lake: Our estate is located on this island, which is accessible by both car and ferry. Hike to Whistle Lake directly from our property, explore local look-out points and shorelines, and just have a nature day exploring our charming area.

Local Towns & Scenic Drives: Our region is full of small towns, winding country roads, and opportunities for memories. Pick a direction and go explore!
